When I got back from Singapore, I heard that Hamid had left chess so I called him up. He tells me that he will be managing a hospital in Shah Alam.
Hmmmmmmm, have we got to the stage of our chess development where we do not need the services of an IA of Hamid's calibre? I dont see anyone who can handle an International Tournament like he can. What a waste.
It is not easy to build but very easy to destroy. I hope something can be done to reach an accomodation to allow him to remain in chess.
