Can our M's beat Ian?
Read here. And he is a 2100 plus. So Ian is a blessing for Malaysia isn't he? He is here to tell us to wake up and to stop listening to the lies of a number of our M's. At least Mas has the guts to play. But really all our M's should play in every Fide rated tournament in Malaysia. Then they will find their true position instead of hiding behind invented lies. Ian is a 2100. Wake up! He is making mince meat out of you guys that talk so much and walk with such swagger. Shame on you. Thank you Ian for showing this to us so convincingly.

Ian Udani has a FIDE rating of 2340. The 2100+ rating is just his National rating, which means nothing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the correction Chee Seng. Am I correct to say that he did not have a Fide rating when he first came to our shores nor a national rating which means nothing according to you. Was he not winning almost all our tournaments since that time? Gilocatur says he won UPSI 3 times out of 4. Did he not start out much lower rated than our M's and has he not overtaken them in a short time? At some fide rated tournaments when our M's were playing were he not just ahead but a whole band ahead of the Malaysian group? You get my drift? The real point is how did he do it? Can you concede that maybe it is because he did not qualify for the back door?
ReplyDeleteYes, Ian did not have a FIDE rating, but when he came to Malaysia, he was already playing at a 2300-2400 level (in FIDE rating terms). Why he was unrated is a personal issue for Ian and is not up for debate. But being a 2300-2400 level player, is it very surprising for you that he can beat our Ms? If you want to talk about how he became a 2300+ level player, you need to talk to him about his past in the Philippines.
ReplyDeleteFunny how all these excuses and BS that comes up isn't it. Yes I did do some background check with some Philipino players I know. He was an unknown then but he has found some newly gained respect when he started winning here and especially when those players have fought him themselves here. Winning in Malaysia is no big thing for them as many of them do that. But I am informed even they take him more seriously now. So stop the BS. You are sounding like a Jimmy clone now.
