Hey, we are doing well with tournaments. New milestones by Hamid/Najib team at Datmo. Congratulations. Not to mention the amazing array of tournaments at Datcc.
But before we pat our backs too much, can I ask a question? What happens if Dato is unable to fund Datmo anymore? Can we extend this attention to detail to development too?
Lets look further along the road a little.

Dato Tan has done a lot for chess in Malaysia and I believe its time to look for new sponsors.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the funds should be prioritised for the immediate needs of the chess community, which should be the decision of the MCF.
There will be nice-to-have projects and need-to-have ones too. MCF will have to decide if Chess popularity in Malaysia will be enhanced with the birth of a GM or not.
