Result thinking is based on issues

We want change but how can that be achieved in the current scenario? Sifu (in comments below) thinks we can vote them out if they dont perform. Actually it cant be done. Read my postings on the new COS structure. In this new structure they cannot be removed except maybe by themselves.

So what now? Actually we had the same discussion in First GM. I argued that the best way is to state what we want in a partnership and if the conditions are met we partner, if not we dont. Simple. Based on issues and not on personalities.

As we can see from our Asean experience some will say they agree and then change their stance as often as the wind changes. But we hold on to our principles. Transparency or no go. Work in partnership or walk alone. And that means no backstabbing. That is a culture we do not condone. Genuine partnership or none.

There were some within First GM's ambit who also argued that we must not criticise MCF. But this is what I said. If we do not criticise, we cannot be differentiated from what MCF is doing. Even in the structure we used for Asean where we had control of the money, we found that MCF had many ways to see that they get all the meat and left us with less than the small bones. Actually no. They took everything and left us with the bills. I think that is more correct.

So what more could have happened if they had control of the funds in the first place? But still I think that is the way to go. We will not feed them anymore. By feeding them, by helping them we are just keeping them alive to do more damage.

I think if enough people realise this then change can come. If they are abusing their authority then dont support. It's not about this person or that person, the same person can sit on both sides of the fence at different times. Its about us being consistent about what we want. Do we want a more transparent and accountable MCF?

Then forget about voting them out. I dont think that can be done. Just dont give them easy money. Make them show you what they are doing for the money. Make them accountable for every cent. That would be a good start. But of course make sure the money is in your pocket first. Once its in theirs, its a very different game.
