The elusive Confidence

Some say we can fake it till we make it. We can fake self confidence. But can we really?

I've said before that confidence is elusive. You can have it for a while and then you can lose it too. I've been thinking on this for the last fews days and concluded that its another big topic. So I'll talk about it in bite sizes here.

Well for one, if you are not a trained thinker, it is hard to have real confidence. Why? Because time and time again your conclusions will be proven to be wrong. And denial can only work for so long. So how can you be confident if you are more often wrong than right?

Another important factor is self control, impulse control. If you continually do something other than what you think is right, you also cannot be confident of yourself. How to be confident if you cannot even trust your own conclusions or do not have enough will/courage to enforce it?

Think on this. And if you have no confidence, you cannot be a GM.
