You cannot blame the real chess players.
All they want to do is to play chess. All they want to do is to study the game, learn from the game, train hard and then compete to win their place in a clean selection. In a contest of skills. And there are many of them.
So we must look to those few officials, those few parents that want the back doors for their children and those even fewer "players" that want to represent the Country without playing strong or real chess to find where the problem is for our protracted decline.
This is simply because those few people are setting the culture for our players. The way into the squad is to conform to their cycle of failure.
There must be a way to stop them from killing off the real players and the game of chess in Malaysia. Then we will shine.
