The dance between Greg and Najib is interesting. MCF and a "trainer", "organiser", and arbiter. That looks like a natural alliance if you want to get to the money. But what is more intriguing is the "role" of Jimmy?

Lets try to see. After the training of the juniors, we saw the birth of many anonymous blogs/commentators spewing out of Jimmy's site all with strange and wonderful names. "Irrationality", "Ninja Reject", "Making no difference", "Disconnected Chess" etc etc etc.

And they all follow one simple strategy. Tell as many lies as possible about FGM, the training etc. And to keep repeating it till it becomes like an evil mantra. A sort of mass hypnotism. There are no rational explanations, no reasoning, no analysis and no thinking. Just keep making slanderous, hate statements which will be parroted by equally non thinking "people" and cronies.

So all attempts at showing the evidence of our letter to Air Asia, the account statement etc etc was ignored. Their purpose was never to find out the truth. Their purpose was simply to attack us, our sponsors till we are forced to stop the training.

So the big big question is now why would Jimmy get so twisted up and stay up nights to do all this? After all he is a "player". Perhaps he is but maybe not in chess anymore but something else. Lets see.

Note: It was my observation that at that time Jimmy and Greg had not yet come to an understanding. Greg was also attacked on Jimmy's site. It looked like 2 deal makers making their stand and the beginning of a show down of who had the bigger stick. You saw the continuation of the attack against Sumant after the selection. The accommodation only came after SEA games.

Remember that I told you that selection would be reversed after SEA games? And true enough we saw a bogus selection for the Olympiad. Now look at the Malaysian Team. Is it really the Malaysian Team or Jimmy's Team? So what changed between SEA games and the Olympiad? Did our IM's suddenly become fantastic players and true fighters or was a deal finally struck? So Jimmy is now the go to man if you want the back door as a player. Is that it? He has the PR machinery. He has alliances that can produce suspect games. Maybe?

So was Malaysia sabotaged?

I don't know about you but for me I like to challenge their Jedi Mind trick stories on the board. I like to find out for myself why Mok was the weakest IM during SEA games selection and the highest rated player going for the Olympiad. I don't need Jimmy to tell me what to think. I want a selection.

I want to see a Malaysian Team that has won it's place in a fair competition. And I want to cheer that team. Cheering this team means that we are cheering the deal makers, the match fixers yes?

Did you see what happened to China in Badminton for the Olympics? Is that the culture we really want here? Why would they be charged for misconduct? Why is it that in Malaysian chess we reward places without challenge when you attack the training for our Juniors, when you slander and smear the name of organisers and sponsors who try to make a difference; when you attack those that have the audacity to train before going for selection?  Is it MCF's reward for work well done? Doesn't make sense right?

Try this. It makes sense when the motive is to plunder. Money from training has always come from the young kids, the beginners. So we need to divert resources away from the more advanced players and send more youngsters into the chess schools of low level trainers. None of them can train a strong player and so they need stories like they are all washed out after 15 to stay in business. And for that they are willing to knock off all potential challengers. Is it looking that way to you now also? Does this story make more sense? Does this now make their actions more explainable? Plunder. Change the assumption and you will see too.

Well done Jimmy, you have reset the glass ceiling for Malaysian Chess for one more tournament. But I hope this will be your last sabotage. You may never get the chance again. So let me give you a tip. Do very very very well at the Olympiad. Or else you will have succeeded in destroying whatever credibility you have left.

We don't want a culture of deal makers and match fixing in chess. We know that makes us very weak. We do not want to be embarrassed by holiday makers at the Olympiad. Go and when you come back, retire while you still can.

ps: Use this presentation as a working hypothesis. I think then you will see no more mysteries in MCF's decision making. It all makes sense. It is very rational and sytematic. It's all working parts when the dots are joined and the motive is plunder.
