A very simple and obvious principle. In fact in chess we see it in action all the time. The result of no training. Cause and effect. The result of rushing a move. Cause and effect. The result of fear based decisions. Cause and effect. The result of knee jerk reactions.
And yet internalising this concept may be the hardest thing to do. Why? Because if we embrace this concept then we will see our part in the effect. When we are the cause.
So it better to blame the other. Somebody else, anybody except us. I see it all the time. Understanding causality means we have to take personal responsibility for our actions as well as our non actions when action is needed. For both determines outcome.
If it is to be, it's up to me.
