Woke up this morning and I think I understand where the confusion is. Let me try to explain again. There are 2 deals on the table. One from MCF and one from First GM. We are 2 separate organisations. MCF makes an offer with their terms and conditions and First GM does similarly. It's like going to a supermarket and you see 2 products on the shelf. You choose the one that best meets your needs or your pocket. But you cannot tell the 2 brands that they must mix and match so you have a mixed product. There are 2 management structure and 2 different decision processes. First GM cannot tell MCF what deal to give and vice versa.
Is this clearer?

By illustrating First GM and MCF as 2 products on the shelf is not correct in the first place. If you insinst it is a good example, means First GM is elevating own status to MCF level and try to tell others First GM is a comparable product if not better and give others a choice to chooses. Sad to say, no matter how good First GM product, the product cannot be launched without MCF endorsement.
ReplyDeleteYou should compare it like Petronas (aka MCF) and Caltex/Shell/BP (FirstGM) selling petrol. If Petronas does not give licensing, Caltex can't sell petrol in M'sia. So, any one of these petrol operators want to operate in Msia, them must follow Petronas Terms and Conditions, a contractor engage by these non-Petronas operators too have to get their licence from Petronas before can start any job with non-Petronas operators because Petronas is the BOSS here in Msia.
Thank you for your comment. You are revealing your true self with each word you write. First you presume to speak for MCF, then you speak for First GM but you know nothing and then you hide like the coward you are. I am sorry to say this but I really dont think your opinion matters at all. You have tried to elevate your own position in your own self delusion. I feel sorry for you. Try and do something with your life. My sincerest advice. Chess does not need someone like you. You are a symptom of the sickness that have kept Malaysian Chess from the place it can be. We need people with Vision, with strong fighting spirit and people who can reason. And you have displayed none of the attributes.
ReplyDeleteDear anon,
ReplyDeleteYour analogy is misleading. Should see it something like this. MCF offered 1.d4 (simple, plain good move), FirstGM offered 1.e4 (a bit complex but with additional value to it) White player can make his own choice whether to play 1.e4 or d4 or other move (if any) or not play at all! The objective of opening is still remain the same which is playable middlegame (ASEAN)
First GM just give the alternative options for players. Not compulsory conditions.
We chess players should see this initiative by First GM as half full glass (not half empty glass)
Raymond,
Keep up the good works!
Regards
Chess Angel
To fork out RM 4,800 per person for an age group event is out of reach for most parents. We need a better move.
ReplyDeleteAnon...anon...,
ReplyDeleteIf you could not afford a bungalow (FirstGM), go for apartment(MCF). You should not make a lot of noise if you could not afford the bungalow and keep on asking the bungalow developer a lotsa questions. Why the price is expensive? What power you have to build house? Why apartment is cheaper? let-me have-price-breakdown? etc. Take it or leave it!
In life my fren, you pay more you get more. Simple!
Chess Angel
Thank you Chess Angel. Please allow me to clarify a little here. The price quoted by MCF is RM 4615. Please note this is their price and not from First GM. So all question about this should not be directed to First GM.
ReplyDeleteWe saw this and thought maybe we can add more value and at a CHEAPER price. So we contacted MCF and asked if they would welcome our initiative. And they replied in the positive. (So I don't understand anonymous funny imaginings). And so we proceeded to try and get a good deal for everyone going. Players, parents and officials.
MCF saw the benefit of our effort and gave us their blessings. I see this as evidence that something good is happening in MCF and I hope we will all support this new direction and change. Lets all put our hands together and work for the better of the entire chess community.
Raymond, why r u so worked up? As said by another anonymous, RM 4.8K is lots of money.
ReplyDeleteIf FirstGM can bring down to RM 2K [with corporate sponsorships or perhaps FirstGM sponsoring it] inclusive training, then it becomes a super good product on offer, but u can't right? Anyway, best of luck to your first project towards making a GM.
Oneday, Msia will have a few GMs. Among them GM Amier and GM Siew, oh not to forget our hotshot GM Yeoh.
I wonder about you sometimes. Always hiding away. Do you smile when you see me? Is your venom well hidden? No need to answer that question. It's rhetorical.
ReplyDeleteHow does it feel to live with so much hatred? Why always tear down? Why don't you turn all that energy to doing something good, building something?
Relax bro. U may be the one who hv think to much and thus imagine lot of things on what anom's said abt u and your academy? Where got hatred, venoms, whatever etc.
ReplyDeleteMy advice is u SHOULD NOT take everything that comes along yourway as if people r challenging u or hv evil's intention against your plan. Don't u think that some anom's writer in your blog actually has stimulated your thinking in certain topics.
Relax yourself a bit, keep thinking on these "challenges" can make oneself goes crazy and ended up imagine lots of things.
One fineday in a distant future when u look back, u will hv a good a laugh and know what I mean.
P/S: Btw, your management team line-up is very dynamic and full of enthusiasms BUT is somehow lacking someone with REAL experience on Msian chess that can help to cut thru the learning curves. No need to response to this remark, again one fineday you will find out yourself.
Signing off,
One of the Anom's writer.
Actually, I do not only respond to anon, sometimes I write to others. But I have noted your point. We are a new team and my experience in chess is limited but intensive ie PICA. But maybe it takes fresh eyes to look at a problem that has plagued Malaysian Chess for so long. Have you considered that possibility? Perhaps you can give of your experience to help us "cut through the learning curve" instead of just making mysterious sounding statements. Not very helpful don't you think. There is a saying that goes like this. If you are not part of the solution.......
ReplyDeleteHi Mr. Raymond,
ReplyDeleteI am De Zen father, thanks for the arrangement.
i like to make clear that the price quoted by MCF just a reference, last year i went to WYCC. first MCF estimate the airticket around 4.5k, finally i able to get arround 3k then Greg let me to arrange the airticket by my self. and that time Greg set the Euro rate arround 1 euro = RM 5.2 , and he promise will refund after the actual rate paid to Organiser.
Hope the about information will help you to do the estimation cost more closely.

Hi Mr Teh
ReplyDeleteYes, I do realise that. I still think we can bring even more value. Do come and listen for yourself. From what I understand from the latest deal from Air Asia, we may be able to even help the parents. Lets talk more on the 1st of May.
Sorry Raymond,
ReplyDeletei am not going down for this year selangor open. Zen also not qualify for this year NAG selection.
Mr. Raymond, do you realise that the Asean game crash with MSSM.
regards.
tehhk
Sorry to hear that. Tell him for me to try harder next year. Yes, I know of the clash. It's unfortunate but playing for Country is also important.
ReplyDeleteMr Raymond,
ReplyDeletePlease consider the Beijing Asian game also, as i know few persons already submit the name to Mr. Greg.
regards.
tehhk
Greg did mention this to us but we replied we can only help if there are the sponsors. Air Asia does not fly to Beijing and we have no close contacts in MAS for now. If that changes we may be in a better position.
